In lieu of a proper Substack update (which is pending and sitting in my drafts), I wanted to share that the dark nights and winter season has sent me scurrying back to books and music. In the spirit of this, I’ve devised a course millennially-titled whimsigoth writers.
This offering will take participants through some of the most romantic, dark and truly dramatic writers of the last two-hundred years. Let’s go big here!
As always, this course will feature minimal men and I’m especially excited by the opportunity to look more closely at some of the topics we skated on in previous course offerings. We will study Beat women and their memoirs specifically; explore Don Mee Choi and her poetic translations; and - brand new to my online teaching - we spend two full weeks in the pre 1900s!
whimsigoth writers: a five week course
If this is of interest, have a click and please do consider sharing this course with people who you might think would be interested as I am as offline as a person can be when they just have a private IG and LinkedIn!
wishing you all a wonderful 2024 and here are my obligatory in’s and out’s for the year ahead.
Lots of love,
Maeve
